Researching AI contestation, accountability, and human responses to automated decisions.

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Information Systems at Ivy College of Business, Iowa State University, advised by Dr. Rui Chen and Dr. Sree Nilakanta. My current research examines how people question, challenge, and respond to AI-driven decisions, with attention to accountability, responsibility, and organizational responses.

Contesting AI decisions

I study AI contestability in human-AI interaction: when people push back against AI decisions, how they assign responsibility for AI errors, and how institutional responses shape whether users are willing to contest automated outcomes.

Behavioral and qualitative inquiry

My work uses behavioral experiments and qualitative methods to understand how people interpret, challenge, and respond to AI-mediated decisions.

Platforms and social commerce

I also examine how platform features create value and affordances, particularly in non-traditional social media markets and local buyer-seller interactions.
